Rhenish Church

The old Rhenish church in the centre of Stellenbosch has been around since the 1800′s and has the traditional cape dutch architecture of the period. Surrounded in pretty green gardens, all your family and group photos can be taken here immediately after the service before your guests head off for their pre-drinks and you and your new groom head for some personal private photos.

With its centre aisle and red carpet, combined with the looked after wooden pews and large windows that open (a plus for those sweltering hot summer days!), this church comes with a piano and sound system included. When we were enquiring it was incredibly reasonabley priced, and although right on ‘Die Braak’ it still remains a little removed from the hussle and bussle of the market and taxi rank.
If you’re an old maties student, or met your fiance at Stellies – this is the church to be married in. Especially if you were a fan of the Terrace you’re bound to have some fond memories on arrival, as its just a stone’s throw away.
