Tokara

In the winelands of Stellenbosch, Tokara offers you breathtaking views and the finest cuisine. Hold your pre-drinks on the suspended terrace looking out over the slopes of olive trees, and dine in a modern yet rustic setting. Your table layout will be with both round and square tables with wooden chairs. The décor is minimalistic and is stunning just as it is. This venue wouldn’t need (nor be suited for) white drapes and fairly lights. (perhaps just the fairy lights).

They say 110 is max, but I wouldn’t push it past 80 (their minimum) to allow enough space for well positioned tables and a dance floor.

As stunning as Tokara is, the only downfall is that you can only enter the restaurant area at 7pm. This, in my opinion makes for quite a late start to your reception. They offer the option of holding your pre-drinks and canapés from 6pm in a different location, but once you fall in love with the terrace, you wouldn’t want your guests to be sipping champagne in any other location.
With no venue fee and a reasonable price per head, it is a stunning restaurant venue that will have all your guests talking.
